Coaching

Tuition to impart a sense of possibility: workshop participants and students of guitar, voice and songwriting will leave sessions with an expanded idea of what’s available to them in their exploration of music, and practical techniques they can implement right away.
Diana has been devising and refining approaches to tuition that that are fun and get results since 2005 and delivers tuition via her music school in Edinburgh and as a visiting instructor in the UK and USA.

Performance

Solo, duo, band performances across a range of the most loved material from classic song folk, blues, country, pop, chanson and singer songwriter. Vibrant performances sometimes feature imaginative use of loop pedals and eclectic arrangements. Tours and performances in the UK, Europe and USA.

Composition

Writing and releasing singer songwriter material since 2006; additional works for chamber orchestra and string quartet.

Diana's teaching has been super. Our son started from a very beginner and has just brought me a recording of song that he composed, with three separate tracks, including chord progressions, riffs, and effects, all put together by him. Diana has a strong emphasis in developing musicality supported by fundamentals -- learning chords, developing rhythm, and playing with others. She also offers the most incredibly thoughtful performance opportunities -- fun and current songs, played with other students on stage at the Fringe and on other independent stages. HIghly recommended!

I had the most amazing experience with Diana and Key To Music! I took Vocal, Guitar and one-on-one classes with Diana while living in Edinburgh for 5 months in 2016 and couldn't believe how much I progressed in such a short time! She gave me so much confidence, helped me prepare for a very challenging performance singing live at a close friend's memorial, and even taught me how to use a loop pedal! I'm so lucky to have found someone like Diana to personally oversee my progress. She put so much time and care into her lessons and I still to this day have yet to find another music teacher that compares. Wish I could go back to Edinburgh just for these classes!

Diana was highly talented and very patient. I arrived with a guitar that had ceased to interest me and went home after my first lesson with a very 'alive' instrument. I have since had many lessons and taken part in some excellent progress sessions.
My efforts were rewarded by the new album we pulled out of the hat in Indiana this month.
A long way to go to record - but I was prepared and gave myself a good chance of writing and performing well.
Delighted at myself (eek) but more importantly at the Key to Music for inspiring me.
